Our Nomad is good. Coachmen is what my in-law's had and was OK too. Had a Jayco tent trailer (pop-up) and it was nicely done. Not sure if these are cheap or not. The Nomad and Jayco we bought used.
I'd recommend looking at used units. We were lucky and found a good dealer. Bought one off of his lot.

Quality and workmanship are NOT job 1 in the Rv industry. You can get a bad one in any brand, any day any price range.

All brands are made as cheap as they can for profit. If they are not made cheap or made in Mexico, they go out of business. Some are cheaper than others. People will tell you the brand they bought is the best, just because they bought it. It makes them feel better about what they bought.

I believe, especially in the RV industry,You get what you pay for!!
If you are looking at a particular manufacturer of RV's and they are $$1000's less there is a reason. I am not saying that the most expensive are always the best, but if the price is consistently much lower, I would avoid.

Surely you don't really believe this.

Surely you don't really believe this. What company has not cut cost and make their brand cheaper for profit?

Low price demand by buyers has driven the quality of most RV's down down down. The old saying that "you get what you pay for" is so true in todays market place. If we consumers would demand as much quality as we do cheap prices most manufacturers could build really quality units.

Well, generally, you do get what you pay for, but sometimes (all the time?) dealers will jack up to try to get the most out of you. Choose what specific unit you want, THEN price it against 3 or more dealers (include online like RV Direct, RV Wholesalers, etc) and you will have a very wide range of prices. Now, if you buy a unit at 1 dealer and pay $6,000 more, does that mean you have a better product than another unit that may be better quality but priced right at a different dealer? I think not. You have to do your homework.
Just because someone pays a lot for something has no direct bearing on the quality, especially when the dealers become involved.
Just my 2 cents, FWIW.
