I also fail to understand why anyone, other than that people who own and operate the Walmart should care how I utilize their parking lot as a place to stop.

We often stop as early as 2PM or so in the afternoon and may not roll out until 10AM the next morning.

We always put out two of the three slides. When we travel with another couple, we park the motorhomes in opposite directions if we can and have even pulled out lawn chairs on a nice evening and watched the people come and go while we have cocktails.

If there is plenty of room in the area...who cares!

I am probably biting on this one........But what you described above is a little much, especially the cocktails, IMO.

The Armenian judges gave this a 9.8 on the Olympic Troll-O-Meter, but they were over-ruled by the umpires in instant replay, who award it a 5.6

The Armenian judges lodged a formal protest!

It was sufficiently trollish, of course, but way too obvious. It was poorly written, poorly executed, and was so incredibly lame as to lack the true drawing power of a really masterful troll. Maybe as high as a 5.9 for the sheer stupidity of the premise, but a 9.8? Never!

The Armenian judges tear their hair out, throw their balalaikas down in dismay, and perform the traditional Armenian Dismay Chant! They demand a recount!

I love a good debate as much as the next person. And while I'm willing to stand up for the right to accept the overnight invitation without ridicule, I don't see the point in being openly antagonistic toward people on the other side of this debate.

There's no need to intentionally push the hot buttons unless the goal is to continue doing battle. If that's the case, I vote for closing this thread.

The biggest problem (not just this forum or related industry) of a 20 page thread is people will not read the first 19 pages before they post and come across like some of us that are hard of hearing trying to jump into the middle of a conversation. Every one wonders what we are talking about and then they go back to their conversation.

If any militant control freak anti-Wal*Marters had them, I believe they'd already be posted here. They don't exist......and a picture of parked RVs @ WM, won't cut it.
