Does anyone else with a Class C have a hood guard on their unit?
I was thinking about getting one for my E 450 instead of a bra and was wondering if they would really do any good?

I was also curious if anyone is using these

Thanks.

What's a hood guard?

It goes on the front edge of the hood.
Some also call it a stone or bug guard.

Mine came with one. They will help protect what is directly behind them but not much else. Many of them actually rub the paint of the hood due to stupid design.

I have my clear BugShield (see my profile photo) on my unit for over 12K miles now with no sign of rubbing to hood/fender. I just make sure sticky pods are in place every chance I get.

I got it from JCWhitney.

It keeps the windshield clean. Overhead cap gets much dirtier than the bugshield/grill, though.

I wont recommend this for regular C's with overhangs; bugs would end up under the overhang.
