I have totoally procrastinated on looking for a fifth wheel hitch and need to go get one installed in the next week so i can take my new trailer out (our first trailer ever) the weekend after the long.

I need some suggestions. I have aF350, crew cab, longbox and i have a everest 348R (38 feet i believe). Any suggestions? thanks

Pull Rite hands down. Got to be the most reliable hitch out there.

Any of the fifth wheel hitches rated to your trailers load will work well. Some have gadgets to make then "work better". Some are more expensive. Pick one that appears to be well built, heavy gage steel, good welds, you won't go wrong.

Reese, Drawtite, and HiddenHitch are all the same...buy where you get the best service and price. Valley and Husky are the same...ditto.

All men over age 50 should get an annual PSA blood test. Mine had a low reading, but the yearly jump was significant. The biopsy showed cancer just entering the aggressive stage. Dr. Hackenslash removed it.

B&W is and will always be our choice. Here's a link that explains it well. B&W HitchesThere's many dealers out there and with a little shopping around you can save a few bucks. I installed ours in 2 hours, our local trailer shop wanted $150 to install. Choice be yours, good luck and happy camping!

btw...you may want to consider the "in bed" 7 way connector as well.

thanks for all the input guys........the place im going has the reese 18k and im thinking about going with that one. i just wanted to know about a few things.....is there any featues that some 5th wheel hitches have that others dont that may be important to look for? also, i have a plywood box liner in my truck, should i remove it before they install? or leave it in? also, is there any advantage/disadvantage to moving the hitch unit closer/further away from the cab when they install?

thank so much!

Yes, remove the wood, they will have to cut it out to fit the hitch properly anyhow. While your at it, go get a spray in bed liner. You wont regret it.
Hitch should always be placed over the read axle. They will put in the proper place if they know what they are doing.
