I took mine out by putting it in a reclining position then carrying it out sideways. I have a mid door though not a front door.
Rebecca: I bought a Benchmaster Ventura Euro chair at a very reasonable price. it is buff leather and they have many leather colors to choose from. You can google benchmaster and find pictures of the various model chairs.

Hard to replace the door molding after you widen it with an ax!

As reported by Waggoner5, most everything in an RV can be taken apart for removal. much lighter, and requires fewer hands to get banged up..One exception MAY be the the weekend guests that want to stay longer..

The back of ours slips right off if you pull upward. Then easy to remove.

donsuefuggrwe, you didn't mention the model of your Tradewinds. But having a 99 Tradewinds 7370 with a center door, I removed the large recliner with no problem. I replaced it with a Stressless euro recliner. Stressless makes their recliners in small, medium and large. We purchased the medium with footstool and it fit easily in the door and actually gives us more room in the motorhome. Be warned, however, that stressless furniture is expensive. We paid $1000 for the chair, but it is an almost perfect match for the other leather furniture in the coach. Palliser also makes some nice chairs (we have two in our house), but they are rather large and would have been too big for the coach.

If all else fails, you may be able to remove a side window without any outside help and remove it..........or......crank up the chainsaw.

Hello nascarcruzin,
You might check the following URL for chairs. They do have lots of color choices available.
