My 2001 Tradewinds has a 20" wide entry door. I can gain another 1 1/2 " by taking the screen door off. We have never like the recliner chair and are looking for a new one. I am thinking the present chair will break down into two or three pieces. Has anyone tried breaking one down? Has anyone removed one without going thru the windshield? That is our second choice as I need two new windshields soon. Thanks.

We just pulled our our jcouch out of our rv along with the tub chair that was behind the passenger side captain chair. The j couch broke down into about 4 pieces just by removing a couple screws. The tub chair came out by turning it on its side and passing it through the chair. We replaced the tub chair with a really nice euro chair from lane furniture. HOM and Leather, Becker furniture, and Mackey's furniture all stock Lane. Lane also has a great website that lists all three styles of their euro chairs. HOM and Leather will price match too when pressed. We saved about 350.00 on two chairs with the price shopping.

Another good source is Ikea. Smaller lighter euro style recliners at very good pricing.

Getting the old one out, you have plenty of suggestions, a\any one which may work, just be careful with the chain saw.
