We've been looking at trading in our current unit and found the Tango. Seems to be very well built and has received lots of praise on here (yes I did a search. yay for me ). I noticed it had the water hookup on the very rear of the unit pretty much underneath the license plate. I personally had never seen that before. It is separated a bit from the dump valves and the electric hookup. Our current trailer has all the hookups fairly close together which is convenient. Seems like it would be ok, but like I said I had never seen it put there before. I guess it all depends on the floor plan and manufacturer. Does anyone here have a setup like this? How does it work out for you? Any complaints about having it all the way on the back? My thought is that sometimes it might require a longer white hose depending on where the hookup was on the pad.
Thanks for any feedback.

Hi,

My Jay Feather 25F also has the city water hookup on the back of the trailer next to the external shower station. I haven't used it yet, but I don't see that there will be any problems. I have 50' of hose if needed.

Mine is on the rear also, it is to minimize the plumbing used since my bathroom is in the rear and the kitchen just aft of the axles. Also, the outside shower is on the same side.

No issues I know of.

Mine is at the back,my only problem is the FW tank holds 45 gal.s at 7+ lbs.a gallon, and when it's that far back on a 30' TT,it really changes the tongue weight and changes the way it pulls, compared with when it's empty.

Mine is at the back as well, right next to the outside shower.

I don't think that would be a huge issue.

He's just talking about city water hookup - not the actual tank fill - so does not indicate fresh water tank location. (Fresh tanks near the rear of the trailer have the most noticeable tongue weight impact, as they can actually reduce the tongue weight and change towing characteristics substantially.)

And you're right - it will work fine and its just got to do with the layout of the floorplan, and where plumbing could be buried with the minimal effect on interior storage.

Sounds better than mine which is right above my shore power line. I was hoping to install a removable power cord but not with the posibility of the water inlet dripping right on it.
