Went pick up the trailer tonight and the electric jack would not work. I verified that the battery was properly charged as the light on the jack would work as well as the interior lights. In addition, I could move the slide out under battery power. The manual override crank would not work either. The jack is only 3-years old. Is this a common issue?

Someone bend your jack? If the manual crank won't spin it, it's a pretty good chance that the shaft is tweaked.

did the head unit get wet by any chance?? I have the same jack about the same age. Have had one freeze up mechanically and another head unit die from getting wet.

Dealer replaced the one that froze up. barker sent me a replacement head unit at no charge and a cover when it got wet and died..

Mine stopped working from water getting into the switch. Barker sent me a new switch and a cover at no charge. But that does not explain why the OP's manual crank did not work. Give them a call.

Those lights use very little battery power to work so that is not a verification of the battery's charge state. Most likely, since the slide with no work either, you need to charge the battery and verify full charge with a volt meter. Good luck.

The OP stated the slide DID work. The jack is broken so lets keep this online. Call the mfgr. for help. The manual crank should work if not bound up.

i said in my reply that I had one freeze mechanically as the OP did. Would not work electrically or manually. Had to remove it at the CG and use my stabilizing jacks to hook up tot he TV...

The dealer replaced that one as it was the first trip after they installed it... Barker is great to work with directly too..

Thank you to all who replied. I removed the power head and was able to raise and lower the post, therefore it is not bent. Spoke with Barker customer service and they are sending me a new motor - Excellent customer service.
