We purchased our 03 Monaco pre-owned and their support has been great. I do all of my own repairs but their parts and technical support has been better than expected. If they are this great to a second or third hand owner I can't imagine how they are to a new buyer. We have a friend looking at a Phaeton and he is hearing the same thing about Tiffin products so realistically I don't think you could go wrong with either. Mike.

My 2007 Monaco product, a Holiday Rambler Neptune how has a stress crack in the front endcap above the drivers side window. All I have done since buying it is drive back and forth to and from the dealership in Oregon, to the Florida service center, and now in June I'm heading to the Indiana service center. Then maybe over to Iowa to check out the Winnabago tours. Before you buy, climb up on the roof and see if the end caps are taped (that right, duct taped) to the roof. My roof shows the real lack of quality work that Monaco does.
That "duct tape" you refer to, is actually etrnabond tape on all seams and opening on the roof, to insure a non-leaking roof. Other brand owners pay good money for after market etrnabond tape and hours of their time to do what Holiday Rambler does as OEM. You should know what you're talking about before spreading false rumors.

Both are very good manufactures, can not go wrong with which ever one you pick.
Both service your rig, no mater how old it gets.
A good friend of mine owns a Monico, I had a HR, before getting this unit. Why did we change, liked the floor plan better.
We are full timers.

We're on our second Monaco, this one a Diplomat. We've had some issues all dealt with by our independent shop that we work with. Monaco works with him with no problems, and have always been helpful when I've called for support, even returning a call promptly on the afternoon of the superbowl. I also think you'll appreciate the ISL in the Dip compared to the C7 in the Phaeton. Monaco!

I am a fan of the RR8R Roadmaster by Monaco so that swings my vote to the Monaco. Fortunately I have only need Monaco's support once and it was very good. Most on here are happy with the support they get from Monaco and the quality of their mid to upper end products. I agree with the above post that you will be much happier with the ISL over the Cat engine and this is from someone who owns a lot of Cat heavy equipment.
