Seems to be a corporate philosophy. I had almost this same experience in another of the Colonel's establishments. The only difference was that the afternoon cook had quit and the evening cook wasn't in yet. The nice lady at the counter told me that they would not have any chicken until the cook came in to cook it. Demand to see the manager you say??? The biggest problem with doing that was that it was the manager I was talking to at the register. Apparently she wasn't in class the day they taught restaurant management during the Colonel's training program.

I worked for KFC back in the 70's. When we thought we were going to run out of chicken we just went to the closet grocery store and bought some!!!

We had the same thing happen twice at a newly opened Captain D's. They didn't have no fish. Needless to sat, they didn't last but a few months

Was this one of those combo KFC/A&W type reastraunts we have here? I love it when we go in to ours to order Rootbeer float, and they haven't got any rootbeer. We have pretty much stopped going to the one here because of that.

KFC no nonger has chicken anywhere.
It is no loger chicken any more.... they are so genetically modifed that it is not "chicken." They are born with no feet and no beaks! It cannot be called a "chicken" anymore.
It is why it is called "KFC" now when it used to be "Kentucky Fried Chicken."
They 'aint never had chicken in a long time.
