I have one tire wearing funny it is wearing on the outside and inside of the tire which to my knowledge indicates an over inflated tire. The pressure is normal and the tire is one year old and has approx 6000 miles on it. I also noticed the tire was running hotter than the other 3. I will replace it before my next trip but was wondering what can cause that type of wear.

Actually it is a sign of UNDERINFLATION, or OVERLOADING. Overinflated wears in center of tire, think of a ballon blown up too much.

Have you actually weighed your rig? When I did 4-wheel weighing I found wheel under fridge carried 20% more weight than other three. No problem for me as my tires are over rated, but on many RVs tires are marginal to start.

So, weigh your rig, by wheel if you can.

Like Chuck&Gail says, weigh the rig, by axle, by tire (if possible), and make sure the tires have adequate air pressure, and condition is good.

Was the heat in the tread area, or on the sidewalls, or both?

The heat was equally all over. I weighed my axles but not individual tires. My tires are rated higher than my axles but my fridge is over the suspect tire and we just returned from a 1500 mile trip and the fridge was full. You guys are correct my wear shows under inflation not over inflation. The wear was not severe just starting to show up on this last trip because of the fridge and cabinets over stocked for our long trip I am willing to bet it was too much weight. I carry two spares so I will swap it out with one of those and try and weigh that side of the trailer vs the other.

Under inflation or over weight.

If that is a milestar tire, that is normal. Keystone recalled all of them.

It was a Tow max power king 235/80/16 it is way over rated compaired to the axle weight rating. I have used these tires on two different trailers and have not had any previous problems. I am religious about tire pressure so I was wondering what else could be the problem. I will have to weigh each tire to see if overloading was the problem.

Keep an eye on the replacment. If it seems to do the same I would add 5 psi compared to the others. When you replace it you might want to put a tire that is wearing normal in that position.
