Boy ... being gone for two weeks at a time ... yeah, maybe, maybe you'd have enough propane ... maybe you'd have enough 12 volt to power the fridge's electronics ... maybe the sun would shine enough to keep your battery charged ... but I gotta tell you ....
If you don't, you are going to find one nasty, smelly, hard to clean, hard to get rid of the odor mess that will stink up your trailer for months to come. Some folks say they NEVER get rid of rotted food from their refrigerator.
I'd turn it off ... leave it propped open ... and transport stuff back and forth via a cooler.
15 watt panel won't keep batteries up i have a 100 solar panel and 2 6 volt batteries and it ran them down to about 2 dot on camper battery test meter in about two weeks, when the sun was out good it ran good. and 30 lb propane lasted about 3 weeks this was in winter and the sun was south and it was cloudy sometimes.i ran it about 8 months a the deer camp. if you check it every two weeks the propane will be ok but not batteries it uses more power than you would think
Yeah, I think I will just disconnect the battery and take everything in a cooler each time. But at least I know if I stay there for a long time I will be good. Thanks all.
It sounds like most folks disagree with me, as I would think you would be fine. I'm seasonally parked and we're still in construction mode on RV slots, so I'm in a constant state of boondocking. I'm only gone one week at a time, versus two, but my batteries barely discharge at all running the fridge. I might get a little anxious about trying for two weeks, but that's because I have only have two group 24's and no solar. With full group 27s, at least one good propane bottle, AND a panel, I'd have no qualms about leaving it...especially with a kill-switch on the stereo and other drains.
