I have heard of Trojan's lasting 9-10 years, I think Interstates run 5-7 as a rule but it will be a few more years before I can say for sure
When I rank batteries.. I tend to put them in groups
Trojan's are the un-disputed best, Though they don't pack any more punch than an Interestate, they last the longest
Interstates, US-Battery and several others fall in the 2nd band, May actually be a better value long term (Have not done that much math yet)
Excide. and a few others.... Well.. Let's just say they don't do as well in my tests and/or reading.
Nothin adds excitment like something that is none of your business

Interstate 2200 golf battery is made by US Battery and US Battery also makes Costco golf batteries. So I have the Costco lable on my four and they have performed great for 1.5 years. Saved close to $100 for having Costco lable instead of Interstate on the same battery.

My Interstate batteries have been great. Customer service has been outstanding. Had a dead cell in one of the house batteries and they replaced all four batteries under warranty without hesitation.

I have never had any trouble with them - and FYI, ask your dealer about blemished batteries. They are batteries that were sold and returned for one reason or another. There is nothing wrong with them and they are basically new, but you can usually buy them for about a third of the price of one off the shelf.

You didn't really state whether you were using the batteries for the house/ inverter or just for the starting. I have had much better results from the Trojan and Excide batteries( golf cart 6Volt type), than I have had with Interstates. I have had considerably less life span with the Interstates, both in the house/inverter service and also for starting. Trojans and Excides have been much better and longer life expectancy. I typically run my batteries down to 50% discharge and no lower, and then recharge them.

Jim

Our house batteries are U-2200's, they are 6 years old next month. Regularly run them down to 11.00 volts or slightly lower and they're still doing great for their age and treatment. Problem is that they cost more than what I can get T-105's for around here. Our local Wal*Marts don't stock 6 volt batteries, haven't asked if they will order them or not. Costco may or may not have them depending on the day.

I just replaced my original Trojan 6 volt batteries in my 92 Bounder with Interstates in April of 2006. So far so good. If they last as long as the Trojans, they'll probably outlast me.

I had Interstate batteries in my RV and hated having to always check the water levels. I replaced with AC Delco Maintenance free. Working good (10 months) so far.

Interstate Deep Cycle batteries are no good. Buy something else. They don't charge completely and boil water easily. Interstate batteries for vehicles are great but not Deep Cycle. This from one of my camping buddies who repairs RV's for a living. He buys whatever is for sale at Farm & Fleet.
