WENT TO DARLINGTON LAST WEEK COULD NOT GET ANY CONNECTION...TOOK MY BOX TO RV NEXT DOOR IT WORKED FINE ..CALLED DIRECT THEY SAID I NEED TO RECEIVE ANT AT 72 DEGREES ...ALL I WAS GETTING IS 101 110 AND 119 DEGREES ..GOT BACK TO FLORIDA STOPPED AT FLYING J IT WORKED FINE...HOWEVER AT NO TIME CAN I GET LOCALS IN THE BUS ..EVEN SETTING IN MY DRIVEWAY.. TAKE THE BOX OUT PUT IT IN STICK HOUSE IT WORKS FINE...IF I PUT IT ON LOCAL NBC I GET AN ENCORE MOVIE CHANNEL ABC I GET CHANNEL 200 (INSTRUCTIONS HOW TO USE DIRECT TV) CBS I GET A RELIGIOUS CHANNEL DIRECT SAYS ITS MY DISH...WHICH IS A KVH STATIONARY ANY IDEAS JIM K

When you type in all caps it is considered yelling. Please do not yell as you are asking for assistance.
Are they telling you that your locals some from a different satellite? If so, is the dish on your coach pointed at the correct satellite?
Sat 110 and 119 are dish network satellites.
I don't know which are the direct tv satellites, but you will have to amke sure that your dish is pointed at the correct satellite.

STOP YELLING!!
Get Direct TV to come and check it out for you...or stop buy their place. It sounds as if it's something in your system, either antenna, or the box, if it doesn't pick-up those other satellites.

Jim - I think you need to go into the setup on the receiver (menu/setup/re-do satellite setup - something like that) and select the "Single LNB Round Dish" option.

Its not Direct's problem. You've already proved that the receiver is working fine. Their not going to help you.
The problem is in the dish on the RV, which they didn't install nor do they maintain.

The reason you couldn't get any locals in Darlington was because the Columbia, SC locals are on the 72.5 satellite which you don't have.
You would have needed a second dish in addition to the one you already have.

Since you live in FL and you were visiting Darlington you're not going to get FL local's anyway. Local Ch are broadcast via spotbeam which covers roughly 200 miles. You cannot get the local Ch for Darlington area since you are not authorized for those channels.
