Last week I just put a 2000# electric tongue jack on my little Fun Finder...should be more than enough since the tongue only weighs around 445lbs. Anyway, I go over to the storage lot to drop some stuff off and the front end of the trailer is squatting. I raised it back up using the jack but was pretty puzzled at how it got down. It's supposed to have some sort of brake so that doesn't happen. I'm almost wondering if someone on the storage lot saw it and lowered it for fun??? Any of you guys ever have the sinking problem?

I have an electric tongue jack on my camper and have never had a problem of it sinking. Should stay put where you stop it.

You could disconnect the power so nobody can prank you. Then you'd know if it was a sinker. If it does sink and it's new ask for a warranty replacement. Sinking is not part of the design.

Those were my thoughts too. I'm gonna get an all weather switch to mount under the A-frame and turn it off. If it sinks after that then I'll ask for a new one.

Pranksters, add a battery disconnect and shut it down completely

Well, at this point I have to agree, pranksters. There is a camera directed right at my TT and the security people said they'd check if it happened again. I left the unit for several days after leveling it...came back, didn't drop a millimeter. Then we used it all weekend and moved around, slept right above the jack, no movement, stayed level. I just want to know what idiot would walk up to a strangers TT and press a button for at least 30-50 seconds to drop the tongue almost all the way to the ground?
