Hi all. What do you guys do when you get home from a trip, and there is still waste in the gray/blk tanks, and there is nowhere to dump? I've been putting xtra orange stuff in the tanks until I go out on the next adventure. Any other thoughts??

I have a "clean-out" for the sewer line behind the house. I've been wanting to dig a ditch and add pipe to where the trailer is parked, but haven't got to it yet in over 5 years now. Anyway, I do have a "Blue Tote" and dump my tanks in it, then wheel it over to the house clean-out and dump in there. I have to repeat a few times, but I do keep my tanks clean this way.
There's a local campground not too far away that charges non-campers $5.00 to dump at the dump station. We never use it, because we've always got full hook-up there.

On ocassion, if the toilet had only been used a couple of times, I would drain it into a five gallon bucket and pour down the toilet.

#1 gets to stay til next trip. #2 MUST get emptied. Or next trip you will hope you stayed home. Home septic has a handy cover I made for this purpose, so it's a breeze with a caddy.

We always dump before leaving CG. Then when we get home, any "additions" can be drained into a bucket and flushed down our stick house toilet. We then add a gallon of water in each tank.

Yep, that's what I do. I don't use the orange stuff but I do add a little more "chemical" and let it sit. After all, it is a holding tank.

Well, to be honest, we drive 18 miles (RT) to Peterson AFB, where there is a free dump station. Yea, it costs us about $8 in fuel. We might try the 5 gallon bucket process...I mean "I" might try the 5 gallon bucket process, the DW would have nothing to do with that.

Why? If you have the correct amount of water in the tank it's not a problem, but that's only some 50 years of experience with NEVER a blockage in the tanks. And 50 years is before fully self contained rigs became common!
I empty my tanks (waiting till they're half full or more, if less I add water) when convenient. Then I put in about 4 bowls of plain water then one full of water and chemical. This fills the pipe from the tank to the valve so the chemicals are in the tank. That's it, and I've gone weeks between dumping with my tanks half full with no trouble although I might have to add chemicals to suppress the odor.
