How long did it take to get you coupon? I sighed up for mine online three weeks ago and still have not got it.

Here's the list of coupon eligible converter boxes. If analog pass-thru is important to you, note the ones with asterisks.

Thank's for the quick reply. It's good to know when to expect it.

There are some differences and I'll cover a few of them "Generically"

Analog Pass Through.. The models marked with a * have it, some others might, this feature allows your television to receive analog. May or may not be important to you. Others here have reported the analog pass through is not that good (looses a lot of signal strength) I have a work around I've designed, very simple, at most it takes 2 parts and 2 cables that are not in the box Here is the verbal description

Put a splitter before the converter, one line to the converter the other to a common A/B switch (The "A" terminal) output from the converter to the "B" (or Game Or cable or whatever they call it) terminal, remaining terminal to tv.

(Option Forget the switch, run the line off the splitter direct to the tv and use A/V cable from the converter's A/V out to the tv's A/V in if any. I use that method here at home)

OPTIONS: Some converters have different menu options. For example my Insignia, which I'm told is identical to the Zenith, has the option of STEREO/MONO audio out, turns out this makes a big difference on my mono-TV. (Won't in the MH which has all stereo TV's) My ACCESS does not have that option. Signal meters (mentioned above) Insignia has it, thus Zenith has it, don't recall if Access has it. But these are useful too.

Programming guide.. The Insignia has a 2 program guide (Current and next) the Access displays more into the future. However there are other advantages to the Insignia display

Suggestion.. Try to find a store that has one hooked up so you can watch it.

No, No, No - They are not created equal! Find some reviews before you spend anything. I read some very crazy stuff on what the pictures end up looking like on your TV.

Got any links to authorative, professional reviews? It seems lately that anytime I search for reviews on a product, all I find are retailer pages that say they have reviews, and half the time they are empty, the other half they are customer reviews which need to be taken with a grain of salt.

I have trouble finding reliable comparative reviews these days. Got any tips?

Took about 8 weeks to get the coupons which are actually like credit cards with an expiration date. So, now will start shopping based on what folks are telling me here. Thanks for the input thus far, will keep watching for anything new.

I got mine from Radio Shack and it works fine. I think I may get the RCA from WallyWorld for my second one then see which I like better and that one will go into the MH.

Here is a good reference source to most of the STB's on the market. I have a couple of Coships and they work great.
