The stabilizer base pads on our Jayco sort of make a sound as we drive down the road. They make a tinging sound as they rattle a little.

Great suggestion on the breaks - unfortunately (or fortunately) that doesn't seem to be the problem, as the noise persists while the brakes are applied with good pressure. I may still get inside there and take a peek just in case.

Is there a way that someone could sit in the back of the TV (if it's a truck) for a quick trip down the road in an attempt to isolate the sound? That could help get the general area figured out or better yet, the exact cause. Of course making sure that safety practices are observed (Disclaimer): Do not ride in an unsafe location such as on the trunk, bumper or tongue of said TV or TT.

I would go with both the tag on the chain, if it is present, and also the pads on the stabilizers. I had both of these happen and drove me nuts till I figured it out.

I heard a rattling sound one time like that and found it was the awning arms. They were not snapped closed and screwed down tight. Might check to see if your awning arms are stowed properly.

Since it starts at only 5 MPH have the DW drive and you run along side of the trailer.... or I guess you could drive along side and see if you can figure out the sound.

Have a great time camping,

I would try to locate the noise first....try to pin point the culprit.

Ours does this. There are some Metal Product ID/Ratings Tags (like dog tags), one on each chain (the Safety Chains I am talking about), that flip around and play wind chimes on ours the whole time we are moving. I thought we were dragging chains too, but not so.
