We recently purchased a 04 mobile suites 36cks and although it is very nice and clean my wife would like to add wallpaper in some areas to make it more homey. Has anyone had any success in doing this. I am concerned that the type of material that is used on the walls would not let the wallpaper stick very well. Also later if we wanted to remove it I do not think that the wall would look very good and the potential damage would not be worth it. Any ideas or experiences out there?

I would think that if there were any flex to the walls, that the wall paper would start to fall off or would tear. I don't know how much flex the inside walls of a trailer get when traveling down the highway, setting up, etc, but I'm sure there is some. That would be my biggest concern about hanging wall paper in a trailer.

I would think the changing temperature and humidity would cause the wall paper to come off. Give it a try in an 'out of the way' location like the behind the couch and see how it goes. We have a MS also.

Just use border paste and wallpaper will stick to anything, even glass.

Around here wall paper isn't considered homey as much as it's considered homeLy. Stuff is nasty and seems to always do more damage than good in the long run. Nothing worse to try and remove years down the road. I'd paint before I wall papered.

Are you going to do an entire wall or just a border? A border wouldn't be bad, but an entire wall would be a PITA!

The bain of any home remodeler is removing old wall paper! Don't do it.

Before the summer even ended had problems with it peeling off. Second year bought some wall paper paste. That stayed on a little longer but the following spring it peeled off again. So I went to Home Depot and found some nice molding to go with border. Instead of putting it back up in the living quarters I took all of it down. I decided I'd put it back up in the bathroom only with molding, on top and bottom of border, to see how well it would last. Just camped two weeks ago and it's still up. So this summer I'll try it one more time with molding. Also was able to find a nice stain to match cabinets. If that doesn't work it comes down permanently. And yes it is harder to keep up on outer walls. So don't think I would recommend wallpaper.

Our 1982 has wallpaper in the kitchen that has been there since day one. A couple seams are showing now so I am looking at removing it but wallpaper can last. Not sure what glue they used in our stick home but it was a real pain taking it off in the one bathroom. Two days with a steamer in cramped space and I only managed to get it off one wall that was about 6' by maybe 4' high and a wall that is 4'6" by 7'. Gave up after that and it is still there, may be faster to just rip all the gyp-rock off and start new.....
