We are planning a trip in late June and will end up returning a rented RV in Las Vegas. We will be leaving the North Rim at nite and plan on touring Hoover Dam the next morning. We were wondering if any one knows of a good place to camp between these 2 areas. We want to stay on the Arizona side of the dam since that is were the rv parking is.

when i came over to nevada from the north rim i came through utah. st george or hurricane were the only towns i can remember that have campgrounds without driving to the las vegas area. that would put you on the nevada side of the dam.
the other way would very long (around the east side of the canyon) and put you in kingman az. there are a few campgrounds between kingman and the dam i don't remember another way other than those 2 to get to the dam from the north rim. i'm not an expert though.

There is one or two places outside of Boulder towards the dam but then again it is on the Nevada side.

IF you are set on crossing HOOVER I can't help you.. A bit out of your way but crossing the river is much nicer.. Mapquest Page Arzonia

There is a nice KOA in Kingman we use when in that area and it is about 112 miles to Vegas. Have fun
