K&R>>I use mine as a hiding place

Oh man, I used to be able to do that, but now it's the first place my wife looks!

My commute to work is a little over an hour each way.
My boss allows me to store my trailer at work, inside of a fenced, secure area. I ran water and 30 amps to the area and have it set-up there and use it 3 nights a week rather than commute.
I am saving gas and when the family takes it to the beach, we are an hour closer than if I stored it at home. Saving gas a few ways with this set-up and the boss gets a free on-site night guard!
And yes, in three years me and my Glock have detered two undesireables that tried climbing the fence. One went to the hospital after falling from the top of the 10' chain-link when he saw me and my heat coming towards him.

We live on a New Hampshire river. We park the coach beside the river when not traveling. DW and I both do a lot of writing and we use the coach as a writers cabin. We used to use the cabin on the mountain top in vermont but the coach is much nicer.

You know a friend of mine had one of those little enclosed trailers stolen....the cops told her she might get the stuff back some day but not the trailer as the drugies usually just dump the contents into a ditch somewhere and start cooking in them. I hope they don't start steeling our MH for the same reason.

As a ham radio operator it's my ham shack, also the guest house. I still hope to sell this pile of sticks and make it my Full time house but alas... No market, no market, at least not at the moment

I would use mine as a dog house. The dogs would love it, and when I’m in trouble with the DW, being in the dog house won’t be all that bad.

We have discussed converting ours to a rolling HotDog Wagon. Convert the dining table window to a Serving Window and fold-away Serving Counter. Just replace the window with a Full Screened Window with small Sliders at the bottom for passing cash and food through.
At least it would pay for itself at special events or the local County Fairgrounds events we have during the year.

For now, it is still Upper Michigan or Bust! this Summer, biggest trip ever staying at 4 different places over two weeks.

Maybe we will have to convert to the HotDog Wagon after we get back when the Gas Bill comes in the mail...

The bad thing is that it's doubtful that fuel prices will ever be reasonable again.

That's what they said last time. And they were right!
I think I'm going to use my RV as intended to enjoy some time with my family doing something we enjoy. Me too.

I have already posted this on several threads, but we have our's setup in a really nice campground near home. There's great folks there - many of whom have also rv'ed all over the US like us. We have a ball every weekend - but too much eating! Most of these camps cater to a special interest - in this one, it's country/bluegrass music - singin' and pickin'. It's in the middle of a 4000 acre hunting lease which we have acces to from Jan 1 to Oct 1. But it's 3 miles down a pretty rough dirt road.

There are a lot of places like that all over the country. It allows all the fun of rv'ing - fellowship, camping, outdoor experiences, great for kids - all at a controlled and easily budgeted cost. It's worked out really well for us and only costs $200/month plus a few bucks for the metered electricity.

We love our trailer and didn't want to sell it - or rather GIVE it away for next to nothing. It worth considering. There's room for a few more rigs at our camp in East Texas, but they're filling-up as fuel prices soar.

Jack
