I recently purchased a Valterra E-Z Hose Carrier to put on the TT. I thought it would mount on the bumper of the TT, but the brackets on it are wider then the bumper. What have other done to mount it and where did you do this. Please help I need to get it on by Wed the 21st for our Memorial Outing. Thanks

Head to Tractor Supply and see if they carry U-bolts that will go around the bumper and mate with the bracket holes.

The guy who installed our new furnace at home had these really heavy duty long zip ties. He used them to secure some of the duct ends. These things are super heavy, super strong and plenty long.
I'm sure you could get a few from one of your local heating and air conditioning outfits.

Make sure to read the temperature ratings on the bags of zip strips. Size does NOT relate to strength or durability.

MANY found in retail stores, if they are not 'commercial' grade, pop off like popcorn when the temps drop/change. Don't ask me how I know.

I would suggest using large hose clamps.

I'd be leary of anything except something that bolts ... maybe the hose clamps would be O.K.

Make your own. Use stove bolts and metal or aluminum. Cut the metal the with of the bottom the carrier and drill a hole on each end to match the hole in the carrier. Put carrier on bumper and drop bolt through the feet past bumper and through the hole on each end of metal. put on the washer, lock washer and nut and your done

kearlms,

I bought two 46" Valterra tubes and installed them under my Rockwood, near the tank drain.
My TT has an enclosed underbelly. To support the underbelly material, there's a support strap running the width of the underside. This support strap runs from the right "I" beam frame to the left "I" beam frame.
To install the Valterra storage tubes, I screwed one end to the left(street side) "I" beam using 3/16" self-tapping screws.
To support the other end of the storage tubes, I screwed a short length of Aluminum flat bar the the underbelly support strap, where the Valterra storage tubes end. I then screwed the storage tubes to the Aluminum flat bar, using the same size self-tapping screws.

If your TT doesn't have the enclosed underbelly, you could run a support strap from one side of the frame to the other. Then mount the Valterra storage tubes to it. The strap can be made of flat bar or angle iron.

Good luck,
Mike

I just used some metal pipe strapping found at the local hardware store. You can get a ten foot roll for about $1.50. Here is link to the type of stuff I am referring to. Pipe Strapping
