I saw some small portable AC units at Lowe's and Home Depot that use a hose going to a baffle that fits in the window like Scott G was describing.

If you only need it that short a time, why not just use a Fantastic fan, set it on exhaust, crack open a window where you need to be cooled. Worked for us for many years in the northeast.

When we moved to FL the first thing I did was buy a Coleman 13500 and installed it.

The stick it in a window A/C will work, but look pretty bad.

Hi Bubbabean,

Do a search on Joe ChiOhki's Kit Camper projects and I think that you will see what you are looking for. One of my sons has one of those a/c's that exhausts the heat thru a hose out the window. Very noisy, takes up a lot of space, not particularly effective, and basically a pita.

My BIL got a Samsung for his pop up TC. Say's he has to remove the window to put it in, & it's a snug fit. I'll be checking it out this next weekend.

If you want send me a PM & I'll let you know what I found out. It's 5000BTUH, $100, window unit. I'll get some pix too. I can e mail to you.

There are a number of small suitcase style AC units that just run a hose out the window to work.

Got any links for those - or just one example?

I'd be very interested.

I was looking into these a little while ago. Here's one link I bookmarked.
Portable Air Conditioners
The more efficient ones use 2 hoses.
