I just received a recall/TSB from Jayco about the exhaust hanger breaking. They say bring it in and they will fix it. The only problem is that with 14,000 miles on it...it ain't broke yet!

I just got my TSB from Jayco for 2006-2008 Greyhawk or Seneca on the Kodiak chassis. It says the the repair will only be covered on motorhomes with mileage of less than 20K. I currently have around 6K and may wait for some other issues to appear since we are just getting back to camping now that soccer season is over and the price of diesel will not keep us from camping, but will keep us camping close to home.

Received our notice from Jayco today. It states "The coverage period for this Technical Service Bulletin is for one(1)year from release of this notification." So, don't wait too long.

I had the same recurring problem on my Kodiak based MH. It's not a Jayco, it's a Pony Xpress. It's frame is also stretched, which I think is a good thing since it has a lot less rear overhang than the Jayco does so it's more stable and has less overswing when turning.
They used a standard automotive exhaust hanger which can't handle the load of that massive pipe, it snapped every few thousand miles, even after I heavily welded it.
I searched a bunch of auto parts stores, and found a rubberized hanger that really did the trick. It's got a steel mesh layer that is strong but it's flexible and it doesn't transmit sound vibrations from the exhaust to the frame. It works very well. Here's a pic.

AH HA. Thank you. I think the approach I used IS sending the vibration to the frame. Now I've got to relook at my chain link approach as I also secured it with a pretty strong steel cable. Going to have to rework it and see what happens to what I thought was drive shaft whine - which disappeared whenever I took my foot off the gas.
BTW, I would have preferred that Jayco had bought a longer wheel base unit for mine rather than stretching it with the result that the warranty on the driveshaft, frame and maybe even the transmission and rear end disappear and fall to Jayco now.

I have not done any alterations on mine, here's how it's set up.

Is that the exhaust hanger model that is having problems?

That's it!!
I would get that fuel line off the exhaust pipe if I was you. It needs to be secured up with the other lines away from the exhaust pipe.
The hanger will fail if it has too much stress pulling down on it.
My fix was to heat the exhaust pipe at the bend just past the hanger and bend the end up so without the hanger connected the exhaust pipe was at the correct position. That way the tip that is exiting the MH is at the correct height without having to pull up on the pipe. The hanger should just hold the weight of the exhaust pipe and not try and pull it up.
The way mine was installed the hanger was trying to pull the pipe up 3 or 4 inches and that was just too much stress on the rubber hanger.
