Another redundant post about finding the right fiver for us. We are going full-time in about 6 months and are looking at and reading about everything we can. We going to select our rv first and then select a TV to fit it (we hope). In reading all of the info posted, most recently the post by Ed White, I do not see the Seville by Crossroads mentioned very often, if at all.
The floor plan of the 35RL seems to fit our preferences pretty closely but we've wondered why nobody else seems to talk about Seville. Is something wrong about it?

The Seville is a brand new model. That is why not much is said about it here. Go to the Crossroads forum and I'm sure you will get some comments.

Seville just came out at the 1st of the year. It is a upgraded replacement of Paradise Point so you could search "Paradise Point" for some history and comments. I looked over 2 different models at 2 different shows and general impression was a very well built and decent value for the dollar. My perception is good mid level trailer but not a something to really fulltime in. 6 months in Florida or Arizona for the winter maybe. Again just a general impression based on walk thru and discussion with factory reps at RV shows. Randy

wecome to the forum.
Folks posting are from all over USA/Canada/MX/etc. The particular RV that you are looking at may not be distributed in all states/nationwide. Personally I wouldn't worry about neg info from posters about a particular unit/brand as there will be many many times that number of satified owners out here. Don't forget many folks out here have had RVs many years before the net and we made it just fine on our first purchase. Choose the unit you like and go RV'n.

Nice looking unit but if considering fulltiming I would keep looking. You can fulltime in anything but to be comfortable is another thing. The insulation values seem too low and if dry camping the fresh water and grey tanks seem too small, at least for us. There are too many options they are standard on other units. Take a look at Heartland, HR, Mobile Suites (more money) and the high end Tetons. Just remember this will be your house so you have to like it now. Take your time, sit in it for a couple of hours without a salesperson and pretend you are living in it. Whatever you decide good luck and safe travels.

When we toured the Seville at the 07 Hershey RV show we went through them with a full timing couple looking to trade out their current rig.
They had a number of concerns about storage. They pointed out and I observed that in the desire to make the unit as much like an apartment as they could Crossroads have left a lot of potential storage out.
Comparing a Seville to another new unit by Crossroads the Kingston bore this out as a shorter Kingston with a mid kitchen floor plan compared to a mid kitchen Seville had more storage in it then the Seville for much less money.
When I pointed this out to the Crossroads rep the answer they had was the high end RV needed to "Do cocktails for 8, dinner for 4 and sleep 2" and they felt there was enough storage in the Seville for that. While the cheaper units may have to sleep more and needed more storage.
I don't know to me they're all campers and I've never seen a camper that couldn't use more storage.
Just one mans opinion.

Gee, have you ever camped or traveled extensively in an RV? This is a major life style change. Are you prepared for that much of a culture shock?
As for a fifth wheel. No matter what people or salesmen tell you storage is critical. Along with load carrying capacity. Pick a floor plan you think you like and go sit in it for a couple of hours. Pretend you are doing all of the day to day things and see how it actually fits you.

To amplify a little bit, we have been rv'ing since '04 (plus a couple of years back in the '70s when the kids were little. We've spent two months each winter for the past 4 years in a Trail Manor and then a Grand Surveyor (28 ft.) TT. We like it! It's the equipment not the committment that's the problem.
As anticipated, you folks out there are giving us a lot of input. It's all good and we appreciate it. Keep it coming.

We looked at the Seville at the Denver RV show in February(?). My wife loved it. The faux rock fireplace/wall, huge refrigerator and standard 42" LCD TV were big selling points for her, and the floor plan is just what we want.
I called Barton Lake RV in Indiana and was quoted a very good price, imho -- like $10,000 under the "show special" price.
I too am a little concerned about whether or not it's built well enough for full-timing. That's not a dig at Crossroads; I just don't consider myself competent to make that judgement. It remains on our short list (top 10 favorites) for now. Price-wise it's pretty close to a similar sized Designer, which we also like. But I'm leaning toward the more upscale units that are 2-5 years old in the same price range.
