I'd love to see a voting/polling forum. For instance, it would be great if someone could post a poll asking about, say, GPS...you know, they list 4...next to each is a button (or whatever is easiest to set up) ..and a tally is kept...somewhere...somehow?? And also, people can post to the thread...maybe telling the OP more than just clicking a button.
Erm....naturally, voting for such things as which moderators are best/worst, or other such things that violate the rules here, would not be allowed.
What say you? I'd sure like to take advantage of the numbers here to see which products, etc, are liked by a majority of people.

I guess only the honcho-admin person can answer this one. I use different software for the forum I run (phpBB), and it does have a polling function. I guess it depends on whether the software that RV.net runs on includes the function or not, or perhaps on whether the honcho-folk really wanted the polling function. Or maybe the software was a custom job (not off the shelf stuff like phpBB), and adding polls would represent quite an investment in development time.
Who knows!
But I agree that it'd be neat to have the function for RV.net.
I sure wish they would add a polling function. Would be a nice feature.

The forum software is custom written using Cold Fusion.
Whether or not to ask the programmers for a polling function has been discussed in both the open forum and among the moderators. The consensus among the moderators is to not ask for the function until forum issues have been corrected and other items on our "wish list" have been implemented. In the meantime, we have discussed what guidelines we would have for the polling function.
