I made reservations months ago so I figured I'd call them to make sure I'm still in the "system". I'm scheduled over 4th of July. When I called and reserved they told me I'm in site 404. Now I call and they say I'm in 404 but in the Safari section! It seems to be a big field with no trees or anything. Also the electric seemed odd as you have to run your cord to a pedestal where others are plugged into and hope they didn't take your receptacle. I've never been @ this CG and would like some input from those who have and have seen this Safari section. Yes I did a search and found nothing to help me. Thank you in advance for any help.

I think I would find something else, but I have never been there so it doesn't count for anything.

My only experience with Normandy Farms was Negative so my opinions are skewed – first this is not camping as it is just too crowded and does not work for me.

That said just give them a call – they are generally very helpful and will at least give you some insight as to what you are up against.

We stayed in this “resort” once but never again – just too crowded and very rustic as far as the sites are concerned. RVing for me is, Mountains, Trees and fresh air or warm and salty by the sea.

My idea of a good Campsite;

And the view should be like this not of other RV’s

JMHO,

PS. might have cheated a little as this is Yellowstone in Late October

I must be blind, I took a look at the map and could not find a site 404 in the safari area. Found site 4 and found sites higher than 404 but the only 404 is in the pull through sites. The pictures of the safari sites looked like they are back ins with a picnic table, did not see many fire rings.

Hope all works out for you.
