That's a loaded question bkempton! Be prepared for a myriad of opinions! What would help toss some out is how YOU use your battery(ies)... Nothing more than to power the tongue jack and breakaway if need be, or do you camp as primative as possible...
there is no one answer that would be right for everyone. If you usually camp with electric hook ups, go for the cheapest one you can find. If you regularly boondock for extended periods of time you need a lot MORE battery power than that and even more importantly, something that will stand up to repeated charge/discharge cycles. If your RV requires mounting of the battery in a strange position or inside with no ventilation then AGM would be the way to go. The devil's in the details.
Seriously, we need to know about how you use your trailer, to provide any kind of intelligent answer/suggestions on this.
If you always camp with electrical hookups, pretty much any 12V battery will work, get the cheapest you can find. It doesnt have to do much in that case.
OTOH, if you plan to camp a lot without hookups, and need the battery to be able to power things for a few days...then I'd recommend getting the best true deep cycle battery (or batteries) you can afford that fit in the space you have. Typically, a pair of golf cart 6 volt batteries will always give you the best 'bang for the buck', strictly in terms of amp-hours per $$ spent. But, frequently there is not room for 2 batteries.
Tell us more specifics of how you camp, you'll get better answers..
