Have you balanced your TT tires? I notice there are no balancing wieghts on most TT tires, Is it worth it?
I should also say this our first TT so my towing experience is some what limited other than smaller cargo trailers.

Mine are balanced. Never been for a ride in the trialer while towing, but I'm sure you could feel the unbalanced tires. I figure it is just more vibration to the electrical/electronic components, refirg, etc. So, I balance each new set of tires. PCM

I am purchasing four new Denman Tires this week. The guy at Firestone told me if I wanted my tires balanced, it would be $40 more. He said he does not see why anyone would balance trailer tires, because you don't ride in your trailer. He said some do, but most don't balance their tires. I also pull a 20' ski boat that also have Denmans and they are not balanced and ride great. My trailer came with Duros (cheap !!) and need to be replaced after 2 years. I will save $40 and not get mine balanced. I can use an extra $40 in the gas tank.

Most trailer tires aren't balanced, 'cuz no one is riding in the trailer and complaining about them. One shop I priced trailer tires at asked if they were for a horse trailer, because then he'd put balancing into the price.

I'm an engineer. I feel that everything that rotates needs to be balanced. There will be less wear on bearings and suspension bushings, fewer things rattled apart inside the trailer, and the tires might live longer if they aren't bouncing down the road.

Some cheapo trailer wheels, like mine, have the center pilot hole punched out off-center. These must be mounted on the balancing machine centered by the lug holes, not the off-center pilot hole. All good tire shops have the lug-centric adapter for this.

I'm free of prostate cancer for 5 years now.
All men over age 50 should get an annual PSA blood test. Mine had a low reading, but the yearly jump was significant. The biopsy showed cancer just entering the aggressive stage. Dr. Hackenslash removed it.

I have owned 3 TT and 2 pop-up's I always have the tires balanced.
Any rotating mass spun at highway speed not balanced would surly cause more wear and tear on the trailer inside and out.
BUT if you don't want to don't, I would think $40 is a little no, a lot to high
I always buy my tires at tire discounters they balanced the tires on my new trailer one with factory tires not bought from them for FREE.

Think about this ... we spend tens of thousands of dollars for our tow vehicles and an equal amount for our trailers ... and we're going to worry about an extra $40 to balance the tires? Balanced tires run smoother and cause less vibration which must be good for the TT. BALANCE AWAY .... camp on!

Trailer tires are not balanced from the factory because of $$$$$. But actually they should be balanced. An out of balance tire will show more wear (cupping) in the area where the tire is "heavy." As the tire spins, the heavy part hits against the pavement harder, creating greater wear.

Sorry I didn't make this clickable, but here is a picture of unusual tire wear on an out of balance tire.
