West Point Lake R Shaeffer heard GA

We usually spend Memorial Day Weekend at West Point also except at Holiday COE campground. Last few years though, daughter has wanted to attend high school graduation that Fri night to see her friends from band graduate. And, they've had a parade to play in on Sat. So, we've decided to not do Memorial Day weekend this year.

Enjoy West Point...its full of water right now Hope it stays up!

Yes, it is up to the bank line
We have not seen it this full in years.

Normally we do not go out on the holiday weekends but we visited some friends last year at a campground called Little Bear. We now have reservations for the next few years there. We usually do not stay at campgrounds. We like to rough it so to speak.

We never camp on Memorial Day Weekend. It's the unofficial start to summer here in CO, and unfortunately early season conditions means a lot of places are still snowed in, so the hoards are all crowded into smaller areas. Instead, we're heading out tonight. Hope to find a good camping spot and attend the Mike the Headless Chicken Festival. Hey, we're easily amused!
