After waiting a long 7 months, the day has finally arrived to head out on the season's first trip. Although we are only going to a neighboring county forest preserve, it is still time away from home for a long weekend. I also figure that being close to home, it's 1-cheaper on gas, 2-close to home if we encounter a disaster somewhere, or forgot a necessity. This is the "trial run trip" to make sure all is in order for the NASCAR trips later in the season. It also looks like a nice weekend is in store as well, not to warm, not too cool, somewhat dry, and finally, SUN!!
Photo's to come later. C'ya!

Any time outside of a cubicle is a good time! We did our 'trial run' but forgot to write everything down. Doh! Now we have a note pad right by the front door to jot down those reminders
Worst thing that happened was we somehow forgot the ketchup and mustard, and I mucked up the trailer wheels when I dragged it through a soft shoulder along the campground road.
We even had a wild turkey wander past the sites..
Stormed on Saturday night, but that did not stop the fun.
