This is one of our favorites Danforth Bay They have sites on the water. I am not sure if you could get a big rig on the water, but the place is very nice and I don't think you would be disappointed

Check out Sebago Lake Family Campground in Standish, ME and Point Sebago, not sure what town it is in... On Long Lake there is Colonial Mast in Bridgeton, ME as well as Lakeside Pines. In NH there is a small campground, I believe the name is the Cove Campground on Conway Lake. Clearwater Campround in the New Hampton/Ashland area is decent as well.

Take a look at Russell Pond in NH, a White Mountain National Forest campground.
A nice, clean 40 acre pond on site, beach, ramp, non-motorized boats only, nice for swimming. But there are no sites directly on the water, but all are within a 2 minute walk.

If you want to try something in Vermont consider Apple Island Resort in South Hero, on Lake Champlain. Very nice with nice lake views, which is just across the road. I'm heading there next weekend.

I second Danforth Bay in Freedom, NH. We actually had the site right next to the boat launch/beach area and it wasn't a problem with noise or people-just secluded enough. Another interesting place was Lost River Campground near Lincoln NH. There were rivers and streams running all through the campground-beautiful sight and the water running over the rocks was very relaxing.

Danforth Bay is very nice. I'm goimg there this weekend. My daughter works there in the summer. We camp at a smaller campground about 3 miles from there called Wabanaki Campground. It's not a resort but it has full hook ups. They have a nice beach on Ossipee Lake. You can watch the sun set from the beach over the White Mountians. They are about 30 minutes from North Conway and the shopping outlets. I think they cost less than Danforth Bay.

Have a nice trip.
