Why aren't we going after the fuel companies? These fuel companies are laughing all the way to the bank and nothing is doing about it. Its hurting all the working people, hurting businesses and all I hear is talk. Do you think if we talk enough, it'll all go away? Why are they scared to go after the fuel companies, cap the fuel prices of a gallon of fuel. Why not? What are your thoughts? Jim

Oh Lord, here we go again. This has been beat to death in the past couple of weeks. Study economics 101 and you will find your answer

Oh and the federal government takes MORE in taxes than the oil companies make in net profits, so who now to go after? The feds??

Wehren,
I hear ya. In a country where the government can set the price for a gallon of milk and make it hard for dairy farmers to make a decent living, but the big oil companies are making billions in profit. I do not want to hear about supply and demand. There is always a demand for Milk and yet it has remained at the Government set price?
This proposed tax vacation is not going to help anyone, it just means it will hurt us even more when the vacation is over.

The oil companies are for the most part American corporations. That can change...

It's supply and demand. They supply cause we demand.
People are out to make money, the shareholders that have an investment are not unlike many other investors. They want to make money.

This week, it's the Gas companies, next week it's the Oil companies, week after that it's the Insurance Companies and then it's the price of milk.

People talk alot about making changes, yet you don't see many Hybrid Cars out there do you?
Gas is still a very high-in-demand commodity. They can charge what they like. Period.
We still buy.....

Nice idea, but it won't help. Worldwide demand and the weak $ are controlling this right now.

It won't help to burn the oil executives at the stake and drive them out of business because we're mad that our toys/homes are getting very costly to operate.
