Just about all the bad reviews for the Q100 and larger grills deal with using a hose connected to the propane system on the RV not directly to a cylinder. The propane system after the regulator is low pressure and the larger Webers use high pressure (apx 13 psi) so they don't get enough pressure/flow.
The Baby Q actually runs on low pressure and has in internal regulator so you can run this grill on just about any propane source. Low pressure, high pressure, or directly from a 20 or 30 pound cylinder using a hose.

Mike, not on low pressure unless the grill is modified.

Since the Baby Q has the connection for the 1# bottles, it is considered a high-pressure grill. It does have an internal regulator and this is why you can't just screw a hose onto the grill and connect it to a low-pressure connection such as the one the RVQ uses.
The internal regulator on the Q needs to be removed in order to convert it for use with low pressure.

Blame it on the hose! I had 2 hoses from CW (but it's NOT they're fault) that I couldn't get gas out of. The problem is they they're so idiot-proof they often don't work. I removed all the internal check valves so the only thing left is the valve on the BBQ side, and it works just fine.

Yes, I just had one of my 30 gal LP tanks on my TT go bad because of that "wonderful" valve. The tank was unable to be filled, and we tried everything. The other one was fine.. New replacemet tank about about $50.. Oh well, something had to go wrong sooner or later.

Used the LP hose with no problem. Bought several green 1lb bottles but rather use the 20lbs and hose instead. Just don't feel like adding to the waste pile. Good luck.

We have bought (and taken back) two hoses with this same problem. Hose worked fine for a day and then boom, no gas. We were connecting from a 20lb tank to a small grill (several different grills, took them back too, thought it was the grills!!)... so anyway.. we have big hose frustration. How do you take the excess flow restrictor out? be aware this is wife asking, hubby may know but I need to know too as hose/grill issue is building to explosion point.
Thanks all.
Happy RVing

Often oil in the propane is the culprit causing the problems. It's very liquid when warm but turns to a soft wax-like substance when cold.

I have had to clean the BBQ regulator several times due to being plugged with the solidified oil. I now use a filter just before the BBQ to see if that will solve the problem.
