My DH and I are looking at TH's for full timing. Anyone do that? If so,what is the good, the bad, the ugly about it? What model do you have and what do you pull it with? bonnie44100

Could be done. Problem I see is the quality of the interior furnishings are not up to what full timers demand. But, if you are hauling a big harley around then it is probably a good deal for you

I technically full time in my Raptor. We are living in it while building our new home. Occasionally, it gets taken out on the road. LOL!
It is really a personal thing whether or not YOU can full time in it. We use the garage as a separate bedroom for my son. So it works really well.
Though, we are looking at a different model for the very near future as we really don't use it as a toy hauler.
So it can be done.

The question is do you want to full time in an RV or do you want an RV made for full timing?
You might want to contact www.rv.org, The RV Consumer Group, for their ideas on how an RV for full timing should be made and furnished. There aren't many out there made for full timing.

Heck, you can fulltime in about anything, I know folks that full-timed in a 22 foot Class C. Their lifestyle was one of being outdoors almost all the time so 22' was all they needed.
My old aunt used to say "there's a lid for every pot, you just have to find it."

We've been full-timing now since December. We actually started in October but just tent camped at first. We looked and looked and asked tons of questions. If you go to any campground and walk around, stop and talk to folks. They will be happy to show you their setup. Then we went to various dealers to look at what was available.
We ended up with an Airstream Travel Trailer for quality and resale value. It was not even close to what we had started looking at.
Once we knew what we would be hauling, only then did we buy the tow vehicle. We narrowed our search for a tow vehicle down to three possibilities. Then opted for the Ford-150 in the end.

Thanks for all the suggestions. We'll be hauling a Gold Wing. Having been to many RV shows, we know the quality of the furnishings is somewhat limited, but we need the garage. We'll keep looking! bon

I had 'New Horizons' build a custom TH for me to carry my VTX1800 with Hannigan sidecar attached. Pretty trick set-up really as my rig is 93" long but fits into a 73" garage.
