Raften - What size is your A/C? Have you tried turning off the ecno mode of the Honda, then turning the A/C on?

Raften, Are you in an area of California that has more than 10% alcohol? If it does this could also explain the difference from last years performance. If you can find some good gas you could try that, small airports have aviation gas that you could try and see if that works. The alcohol in our gas also give water a place to hide and that also makes the gas have less BTU's.

That goes for chain saws and other engines. Loggers up here are buying premium gas to keep their saws running good.

I hope this is the last post I need to make on this. Ok, everything is working fine with no tweaking besides just running the A/C on shore power for a few hours to loosen it up, and letting the Honda run for 5 or 6 minutes before starting the A/C.

My guess is just sitting unused over at least six months caused all things to be a little stiff and once it had come up to speed a few times all was good. The only thing I am not sure of is how the hot weather might have affected it all as it is much cooler now and all is well. Guess I'll find out next time it gets hot.

I borrowed a clamp on amp meter and it draws 6 amps running, well within the 2000's range. It did spike to 11 amps while starting but that is still in range. Thanks for all the help.
