I've heard Bounce sheets work well to keep mice out. My buddy gets 2 boxes and spreads them around his trailer every year at the farm and has never had a problem.

Ventilation is the key way to get rid of mothball smells. Get windows open, fans going, etc.

I tried moth balls in a shed, used a large box of them. Mice played a great game of soccer with them. Bought a trap they got into and could not get out of. Never had any more mice problems and no smell.

I used the Bounty sheets this year and saw no signs of any sort of critters. (i used the strongest scent i could find). We have some harsh winters here in Michigan and the critters will find anywhere out of the wind. They filled the shed next to our TT but did not touch the TT. We put them in the drawers and on the bed and in the nooks and crannies.
We changed them once in the middle of the winter and the camper smelled great inside.
As far as bugs go, the only problem we had was spiders up under the propane tank cover. we just put a couple flea collars attached to the canisters and no more bugs there. Figure I might throw a couple in the under storages also to see if it works there this summer.

I use bounce sheets too, they seem to work and when I get into the trailer, it smells nice....
I have constant mice in my garage, they don't seem to want to venture into the trailer in the yard... yet....
Dealing with them in the garage too, much to my dismay....

Ok people this is my first time owning a RV. What is the deal with the mothballs/dryer sheets? Is it something I need to do every winter or what?? Please help I do not want to find Mickey and Minnie Mouse having coffee in my new RV!!!
Also is there any other critter I have to worry about getting in???
