Anyone heading through Madison County, TN on I-40 is in for a real treat! We have a new Pilot station opening at exit 85 and gas is ONLY $3.49. Diesel is something like $4.24. I was in there yesterday and it was like they were giving it away for free, lol. The place was packed. It's on the north side of the interstate - if you're heading eastbound, you won't see it until you are past, so get off at exit 85 for sure. The going rate around here is .20 to .30 higher. Love these grand openings!!

They weren't there for the cheap fuel...It was a grand opening and with each $125 fill up you could get a cup of coffee at half price.

LOL...

I looked cuz I saw "Cheap Gas"

I was thinking of my first trip to Yellowstone. My Dad complained because the captive fuel in the park was 63 cents.

Cheap Gas.??.. I guess everything is relative...

Wonder how many people are going to travel 100 miles to get that "cheap" gas Great for those who live there, or who are passing by, but for the rest of us......

I remember $0.35/gallon when I first started driving....who could have ever seen this? Of course, I remember paying a couple of buck for gas in Europe in the mid-70's, so I guess we shouldn't have been surprised.

Hey, PapPappy! I must have started driving before you did, 'cuz there used to be "gas wars" and you could get it for .15 -.19 a gallon. On top of that you got Green Stamps or Blue Chip Stamps, plus getting your windows washed and your oil checked.

I remember picking a couple of my friends up for school and I was almost on empty. We pooled all our "extra" money and came up with 60 cents. That got us to school and back for the rest of the week!

Go to this site and enter the zip codes for where you will be traveling and it will give you the price of gas in that area.

Ha, it's a good thing our vehicles dont run on water .....

When I was at the local filling station today I paid $1.99 for 12 oz of bottled water

Think about how much a gallon of water would cost ...
