Screws and glue were used by an rv repair shop.

Good idea, although he has to ensure it is not caused by water intrusion first.
I have seen delam on the underside of a camper (not an AF) that was not caused by water, simply the glue giving way.

The story behind the "screws and glue" repair is the owner lives in the Sacramento valley area with summer temps consistently breaking over 100 degree marks.
The solvent for adhesives, including epoxy, is heat.
Furthermore, another Eagle Cap owner with a sunroof in his F350 reports that the cabover draft actually sucks the sunroof door up slightly. . .enough so that he had to fabricate something to help the sunroof door remain tightly sealed.
So. . .there are two forces that can cause delamination of the cabover bottom: 1) Heat 2) Vacuum
Combine these two elements with a weak glue bond (or maybe even a good strong glue bond) and a problem can develop.
I would expect this problem to be more manifest in the Phoenix area of the US.

This is rather a general statement and I hope wrong as Boeing is using Epoxy to glue the carbon fibers together in their new 787 airplane.
Gosh my 1994 boat is glued together with Epoxy as well. Yet it did not fail at the high temps of Lake Powell two years ago. Or maybe it's just a matter of time until I'm swimming with lots of plywood floating nearby.

Don't worry. . .by the time your boat or the aircraft is hot enough to melt epoxy, you'll be a crispy critter anyway.
But I have to stand by the heat is the solvent for adhesives, including epoxy.
I've had epoxy turn soft and fail whilst grinding metal it was supposed to bond. "Epoxy creep" is credited with contributing to the Big Dig tunnel collapse.
Camper manufacturers need to look closely at how they use adhesives and what temperatures they can withstand.

OK I see your point!
Can I say heat is a solvent for steel now?

Very unhappy EX- ARCTIC FOX 990 OWNER.Just sold it after 2 years of constant break downs (bought new) including delamination.Took Arctic Fox forever to fix, it like 5 months and the service guy there Cody is not a people person.Arctic Fox should consider someone else for sure.Anyways just my 2 cents When I get a new truck camper it would never be a Arctic Fox again. For sure.I am getting hair transplants because of that thing!!!!!!!!!!!Please think twice before spending 20+k on a truck camper. They look real nice but are cheesy as hell.
