Jim, I was looking at the stands during the race (during the brief moments when the camera accidently showed the stands) and if New Hampshire and Michigan are any indication, you should have NO trouble getting tickets for the race in Fl. Michigan attendance couple weeks ago was down by over 30,000. Many seats at New Hampshire were empty, despite being one of the best places to view a race. What in the world is the problem with Nascar???

Good Morning everyone! Made it through graduation! All is well.

We had a nasty storm blow through our area as well BFF Ris! My plants were turned upside down this morning! Hopefully they will be fine!

Happy Monday all!

Larry - the official word from NASCAR was New Hampshire was sold out.

Quoted from Jakski.com: Sellout at New Hampshire: Today's race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway is a sellout. As a matter of fact, it has been 27 straight years that there has been a Sprint Cup race sellout here at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. There's standing room only on the backstretch.

They also said Vegas was sold out, and they had as many empty seats as New Hampshire. Funny thing is we didn't watch the race either; I watched about lap 10-15, then caught the last few laps, but missed how Kurt Busch got up front - and every thing else for that matter.

As to whats wrong with NASCAR, thats easy IMO...in trying to be too many things to too many people they lost their base. Funny too, as the decline started about the same time the non-American manufacturer was allowed in the truck series. Hmmm...think that might have something to do with it? Since then it has been a steady decline of both attendance and TV ratings. But hey - I'm sure the check was big! $$$$$$$ The Golden Goose has been seriously injured.

There are 24 hours in every day - it all depends on how you choose to use them.

Morning all. Had a good weekend at the local campground, a bit warm but nevertheless returned home last night tired from a 'relaxing' weekend! Love when that happens.

Cindy and Roger, gonna call today to catch up...sorry I was in z-land each time you texted!! You know me, the pumpkin syndrome kicks in earlier than midnight around my homestead!!

Have a great Monday all.

Good Morning All - Enjoy the week. We're headed to Foxwoods Casino Friday, with stops at the Nautilus Submarine & Museum, Mystic and North Stonington Village. Going with my high school friends - should be a lot of laughs!
