In a recent issue of an RV magazine there were several letters concerning difficulty in settling some warranty matters with Keystone. Is this a common problem or were these just random. We're thinking about buying a Montana.

As you can see, everyone builds lemons and have warranty issues. Forest River, Keystone and Fleetwood make more than just one brand. Travel Supreme just made Travel Supreme, and are out of business now. The relationship with your dealer and how good you are at making sure that your RV is repaired during the warranty period is very important.
Being an intelligent and informed buyer is your best bet!
My Cougar had a couple of issues that Keystone took care of easily. Even a month out of warranty they took care of a stairs problem no charge. I am 3 years out of warranty but Keystone remains a source of information and guidance when stuff happens (normal wear & tear issues). I would definitely buy from them again if they offered what I wanted at the time.

Very few troubles with mine and all fixed no problem. The only thing not fixed was an intermittant water leak that the dealer could not find. I finally found the leak and fixed it for $10, not worth a claim.

We've had our Cougar for a year and 2 days. In that time there has been exactly one issue that needed fixing. A cabinet door frame in the kids room started to seperate. I asked the dealer about ordering a replacement and they said its still under warraty and they'd pick up the tab.
Not knowing whether or not my kids broke the door (more than likely),I was fully expecting to pay for the replacement. Keystone could have taken my money and sold me a new cabinet door, but they stepped up and took care of an issue that probably wasn't even theirs to begin with.
In my experience their customer service has been outstanding.
Keystone has been great on warranty issues. I bought my Laredo out of state and where I live most dealers wouldn't touch it since I didn't buy it there. Keystone found a dealer near me that would and I got excellent service from the dealer.

I had a Keystone product and had 46 warranty issues within the first 3 months. The dealer was great, Keystone was the pits!!! I would give up camping before I buy another Keystone!
