WE ARE GONE !!!!!! The trailer's ready except for those cursed last things that were forgotten and now the worrying starts about what you've forgotten after you get on the road..Never fear tho as Camping World in Fifi is right on the way....The DW has her list (new rocking chair, thanks to all of you that had them at the rally) and I've decided that we need a couple of things for the TT,like the triangle reflectors,I've never remembered to get,etc..
Depending on what time we get outta here,we're gonna stay somewhere between Prosser and Pendleton and then tomorrow nite, between Boise and Twin Falls.. I figger I'll get good use out of my cell phone and the new western CG directory,I'm gonna get today..
I'll think about you all while we're gone..

Bigdog,
That's why we have a list of what to take with us. It's a carry-over from our motorcycle tenting days modified for the trailer. We rarely forget anything that way. About the only things we keep in the TT is towels, a few bathroom items, and all the cooking and eating utensils. All the food, clothes and other stuff has to come out from the house, so there's a list for it all.
Hope you have fun on your trip!

We are back from our Alaska inside passage cruise. What a beautiful place to go. So much beauty! Now we are ready to get out the MH and go camping. With gas prices I doubt we will go far. I just want to say congrats to David and Laura on the new grand baby. Bigdog, hope you have a wonderful trip. Drive carefully. and Tradewinds, glad your new floors turned out good. That place does a great job. We also are happy with their work.
To everyone else....get out there and enjoy the sunny weather!

Hey, in case anybody missed it, summer is finally here!!!
Or at least it was here yesterday and Friday.
Hopefully it will stick around for awhile so we can all go camping and not get rained on.

Well,we got as far as Umatilla last nite and pulled into the Umitilla RV and Marina right at the bridge on the Columbia...Man you fishermen would love this place,Salmon,Pike and Sturgeon. We had mixed weather on the way and after we got there the wind came up a bit and then we had a full blown thunder storm for about 2 hours, but this AM it was beautiful... We got on the road and the weather was perfect except for a bit of wind, but the tt is acting funny and swaying a lot.. I'm gonna drop the hitch one notch.. We pulled into La Grande and that's where we are now,so that I can take it across the road to the Ford dealer in the AM.. When we started to pull away from a stop sign it was vibrating horribly and hammering and sounded as if it had a bad valve or lifter(I guess these things have valves and lifters) or whatever,so we pulled into the La Grande Rendevous RV Park till I can see what it is.. Thank heavens for aftermarket warranties...

Oh and this is also a pretty nice place and we may have to rent a car and do some siteseeing in the area if this is gonna take some time..This is Zane Grey and Louis L'Amour country...It's clear and about 90 with a bit of a breeze and my new CW recliner is great place to enjoy a Jim coke w/lime and the new Clive Cussler book..Have to try something different for my next libation...

BigDog, that news on the tower is not good. Keep us informed on what the problem is, if you need something give me a shout.

Lonesome Creed in La Push was excellent. Had one of the spots right on the beach and they had a surfing contest going on in a very limited way. It was fun to watch the surfers and listen to their friends on the beach critique how they did, those people are brutal. The restaurant at the old Coast Guard Pier is open again and we had good food, lousey service but great food. It was only their third day open so that was the excuse. No silverware, never refilled water, not all the food was delivered etc etc but what we got was good. Oh yeah and we had to share a menu with three other tables as they did not have enough for all the settings.

Great weather and some nice wave action, got to walk the beaches and that in itself made the trip worthwhile.

We're going to be taking the 2 older grandkids (if you can call 4 and 6 old) with us to Leavenworth this coming weedend (27-29). Their mom and dad haven't had much time alone with the new baby since she was born, so we're taking the other 2 out of their hair for a few days.

Laura and I went down to Yelm to photograph a wedding. Boy was it warm and muggy! Typical wedding...started late, not everyone showed up that said they would so there was plenty of good food left over (shame), but everything went well for the happy couple.

Bigdog,
You sure that rattle noise wasn't from something you hit or ran over (like on your last trip).

Tradwinds,
The beach is one of our favorite destinations when we don't want to do much but sit around and relax most of the time.
