Just arrived at Lake Easton. The thermometer says 105, but I think it's a bit high. The DOT sign at the foot of the haul up to the pass said 91, so I expect that it's at least 100 here. The AC is struggling to keep it in the low 80's inside.

We just got back from Leavenworth a couple hours ago. I think it's hotter here that it was over there, but there were too many skeeters at the Thousand Trails to make being outside enjoyable. It would be a real nice park if they could get rid of those darn bugs! We're talking about sleeping out in the TT in the driveway tonight cuz it's sooo warm out (the TT has AC and the house doesn't).

I could definitely tell our new trailer is heavier than our old one as we got near the top of Stevens Pass. Slowed down to 50 the last mile or so where it's the steepest. Had Laura get out and push to save a little gas. Grandkids had fun and drove us nuts at the same time.

Took a pic of our rig, but don't know if it turned out good enough to post yet. Will check it out later.

Donna, congrats on being a GGM.

Bob, you're repeating yourself again. Gotta get back on your meds dude.

Jon, chances of a day cooler than 100 in the Utah desert this time of year are slim to none cuz slim is up in Alaska. Get up early...real early...and back to camp before 2pm to avoid the heat.

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

Saturday our Experimental Aircraft Assoc. (EAA) chapter flew @ 140 kids for our Annual Young Eagles event. The weather was great and the kids all seemed to enjoy. I made several flight myself and the kids has a blast. Nationally, there are over 40+ thousand pilots in 19 countries that participate in this event and as of last year we had flown over 1.4 million kids. Our chapter has been doing this for over 10 yrs and we are approaching 3,000 kids ourselves.

Finally got the air cleaner off the MH. Finally had to get at through the floor hatch in the bedroom. Went a lot easier. Now, just have to figure our where I can get a Farr Ecolite BC series air filter.

Keven in Auburn is the Truck Shop behind the 76 station on Auburn Way next to the south end of the airport. That is where I got my air filter for my M/H. The seem to have a fairly good inventory but if they do not have it they can get one shortly usually as a rule. There diesel fuel is the cheapest around as well @ 4.79. most others 4.85. Thursday we are headed out for Clarks Skaget River Resort @ Marblemount for the 4th. We do not A/C in the house so have been camped out in the M/H keeping the A/C going there. Nice!!!! Congrats to Donna GGM.

Kevin, usually NAPA has a store in each area that caters to the big truck guys and that is where I always get my filters. There is a Freightliner/Cat/Cummins place down in So Tacoma too but I cannot remember the name of the place right now.

Kevin,
Call Williams Oil Filter Service in Tacoma (ON PUYALLUP AVE JUST PRIOR TO PORTLAND AVE). I think Williams will be able to set you up.

The Tradewinds is going to spend the 4th right in the carport. We try to leave the big nice weather camping holidays to the families that still work for a living and cannot get out anytime they want like we can. I have the to work the rest area coffee stop the next weekend so that is enough....

Thanks for all the suggestions on where to get the air cleaner. I ended up calling Williams Oil Filter in Tacoma and they supposedly have what I need. Plan on stopping by there during lunch since it's only a few minutes away from the office.

Got the oil drained in the Gen and need to stop by CW and get some more oil. Also need to get a new oil drain plug since CW stripped the heck out of it when I gave in and had them change the oil last. I barely got it off this time.

BTW, Flying J Diesel price is $4.65 and it's been holding steady for the past few days. I need to top off before it goes any higher since I doubt it's going to go down any lower!!
