For the 4th, we either stay around the house to make sure the crazy neighbors don't set our house on fire or we head to our friends place on American Lake. They have a cabin there on the island and the kids always have a blast there. During the summer, they spend most of their summer at the cabin and they like to have our kids come out and it's hard to get them back from them!. They name their place, "Camp No-Walk-Away".

Hey, seriously, anyone in the Puget Sound area who would like to get together this weekend, let me know. I could throw some ribs and some lamb on the BBQ and we can sit around and enjoy the blatting of sheep and the clucking of chickens.
We don't have any plans to go anywhere this weekend except maybe out on the boat awhile so really, if any of you are interested in getting together at my house (we have a boat and a hot tuuuuuuuub!!!) let me know. We'd love to have folks over.
Oh, and you can take home as many eggs as your cars will hold, too.

Back home after thr ABQ trip. This was the first long trip with the new to me F-250 V-10.I`m impressed with the way the truck handled the V-10 delivered 12.5 mpg towing and 14.5 running empty,I love the tow haul transmission, just put it in tow haul and cruse control and it handles the flats and hills without any help.At around 2800 to 3200 rpm it pulls as good or better than the last diesel I drove.
Got the lawn mowed and carols furniture unloaded now time for a cocktail.

Left Ghost Ranch a couple of days early and we're now in Arkansas Rim RV Park in Buena Vista Co.We're heading for Estes Park and will be trying to get a place to stay there tomorrow..Yeah right,an empty CG site on the 4th.Thunder storms, you want thunder storms ???,we've had them every day since we left Moab..It's really nice tho as they usually lower the temps from the low 100's to around the decent 60's for a little bit..Had a flat tire on the tt in Echo Basin RV park east of Mancos and didn't discover it till I was all hooked up..Put a bunch of my leveling blocks under the rear wheel and then got it all jacked up and the tires swapped.. It was amazing just how many guys said that I should have called my road service and that's what they'd have done... From start to finish was less than 40 min and it would have taken a sevice guy much longer than that to even have gotten there...
Congrats to Donna on the Great Granddaughter...My oldest GS is over 21 and the next one is 18,so it may be a bit of time before I have GG.Or at least I hope so..(we won't get into that)

Bigdog, glad to know that you are still out there and doing ok.
Lots of thunder and rain last night and right in the middle of it I realized the windows were down on at least two of the rigs so out I went, goodness I got wet.
Had a nice visit and lunch with Tom and Laura today. Those are two very nice people and very interesting to spend time with. The more you get to know the people in the group the more time you want to spend with them.
Dave and Loree how is you house doing on the market..

Jon,
Boy, seems like every trip you guys go on turns into quite an adventure. Glad to hear you're having fun (I hope).
Ron,
Laura and I were there (Estes Park) several years ago and all I can tell you is it's a real nice area and the temps can change 50+ degrees between night and day. We were there just after Labor Day and it would get down to the upper 20's at night and be up round 90 during the day, so pack your flannels and some T-shirts.
