I think it's been about 4-5 years since we've been to Silver Falls SP. Kids and I did the 7 mile loop/walk to see all the falls. Laura had hurt her knee a few years prior and didn't think she would make it. She was probably right cuz that 7 miles is quite the hike...up some steep parts and down some steep parts...but the kids and I enjoyed it.

Have I ever mentioned how much I don't like mowing the lawn?!?! If we could only figure out how to downsize everything we have, sell the house and get our MH, I think that would make us a couple of happy campers.

Hobo, the Lake Easton Resort isn't completely full. There are a number of spaces along the back fence that are available. This park doesn't fill up like it used to. Many of the original members no longer camp or RV, and their offspring aren't interested. The owners are selling, so hopefully someone will pick it up for and make some changes to make it profitable again.

The State Park is nearly full. I think the hookup section is full, there are some spaces in the dry camping area. We saw several pull out today when we walked through the campground over there.

Didn't get to the Kachess Lake campground. Might go next weekend, or not.

Another nice day on the road.. Spent it in the CG here in Frita and tomorrow we're planning on heading for Rock Sprgs Wy and then up to Jackson Hole for two nites and then home, well,Hoodsport on Friday..Kinda fun here as there is a MH on one side from S.D. and they have a son that is a COUGAR and on the other side is a retired AF KC-135 pilot and we had some good discussions.. ( I think that they call them war stories..)They're from San Antonio and he has a friend with a P-51 that he flies when he can afford the gas..He hadn't been on a B-17G and so there was a mutual jealousy..
We are now collecting brew pubs.. So far we have eaten in three on the trip and there is one in Rock sprgs and one in Jackson..

John, Nikki, did you stop into the Brick in Roslyn and say hi to my son? If you get into Cle Elum during the week stop at Pioneer coffee and ask for Scotty. Tell him he owes his daddy for putting his 63 Olds back together.

Yep, this grandpa is babysitting the little one while mom and grandma go shopping. Gee, I think I remember how to change a diaper.

You really don't want to let on that you're too proficient at the diaper bit or they'll expect you to do it everytime

Tradewinds, no. If we'd realized.. I know, you've talked about it enough, but I didn't put two and two together until we got home and I did some research for my blog post, then I got real suspicious, but I wouldn't know who I'd be asking for.

Now Cle Elum during the week? Not too likely as I'm still working even though the commute is about 75 miles. (ok, I get to work from the motorhome Tuesday and Friday next week).

Oh, did any of you Cougars read about the current status of those "law-abiding" football players over there in the Palouse?!?

We were up in Monroe for the 4th. with my daughter, son-in-law and the 2 granddaughters. They had been out crabbing that morning, and man, were we in "crab" haven!!

Had some left overs for dinner tonight.

Enjoying this traditional northwest weather for this time of the year!

Take care.

DavidG Iused to hate mowing my back yard untill my daughterinlaw gave me a old montgomery Ward lawn tractor that had been in a barn for 20 years ,I got it running and rebuilt the mower head now mowing is fun.
I don`t do much hiking at Silver falls,I just sit by the fire and enjoy the 3 and 5 year old girls.
