Wellllll, another change in plans..We're here in Kaysville,Ut at the Cherry Hill Rv Resort.. Nice place with a water park, mini golf (for Tradewinds).Sites are kinda close, but room for slides and awnings. The reason for the change is that the visitor center at Dinosaur NM is slipping on it's foundations and is closed and then I called 5 places in the Teton area and they were all full or could only give me one nite,SOoooo here we are here.Tomorrow nite, mebbee,we'll be in Mtn Home at Mtn Home RV Park 'cuz they have cable and Jeanne has to watch the finale of the Bachelorette(SP).
Ran close to 65 all day long and even with pulling that thing over Soldier Summitt on 6,I'm looking at about 11mpg.. That's with another possible screwed up injector. ( I should stop in La Grande and have them check their work)

Bigdog,
Now I wish we were with you guys. Stayed at Cherry Hill on our first big trip with the TT down through ARches, Bryce and Zion. Played that putt-putt every night 3 nights in a row. It's one of the best "courses" I've seen and played. Lots of fun too! I think it's on the Miniature PGA tour. If you get a chance, run down the street to Lagoon. It's a pretty good old-time amusement park with a pretty good wooden roller coaster. They also have this other more modern ride (I forget the name of it), but it will get you wet and probably make you sick at the same time. Watch it and you'll know what I mean.

Bigdog,
If you had the work done at the Ford shop it should be under warranty for one year. I sure would stop and let them take a look at their work.
I think that is a pretty drive over #6 Hyw.
Won't be too long and you will be home.
There is or was a very good little cafe in Snowville, Utah just down the street from the FlyingJ on the left side of the street. Very good breakfast and a good lunch. There is a very good food, Chinese cafe in Mountain Home just under the underpass of the R/R going out toward the USAF bass.
Just across the steet from the cafe is the Mt. Home Elks, that is where Holly and I would stay.

Bigdog,

We got 3 free nights at the "Performance Chevrolet" dealership in Mt. Home on our way back home. Of course, the rear brake job cost us $3k, but they supplied us with electricity while there!

Good luck

Our 1989 Ford 7.3 diesel ate injectors like they were cheap--sounds like your Excursion likes them for a snack now and then also!

Hot,windy here in Mtn Home and this is a beautiful park.. The entrance is all big trees, green grass and roses. The lay out is great and the grass between each site is deep and green with these cute little fences hiding your h/u's from the neighbor..Once it's finished and the trees are grown,wow....
Jeanne's in hog heaven with three hours of the bachelorette tonite..
I got the worst mileage of the whole trip today, just a tad over 7mpg.. I was ahead till we turned west at the I84-I80 intersection and it seemed that I was in passing gear all the way to Mtn. Home, actually,I took it out of o/d for most of the way..I think that we'll head for the Gorge tomorrow night and then mebbee a couple of nites at Woodland @ Columbia River Rv Park,or whatever, before going to Rest-a-while for the weekend..
Donna,Congrats on getting your own place...
Hey Guys, I'm gonna be ready for coffee or whatever on tues, wed,or fri.. Gotta work on the 16th.Sure work,,Gotta take a busload of Y-kids to Twanoh state park for the day.. That's drive 45 minutes there, sit for about 5 hours and then drive back.
By the way,on edit, the price of diesel in Snowville was 10 cents cheaper this week than it when we went down.

Anyone at Columbia Riverfront??? We'll be rolling in this PM for two nites with a site on the river.. Then we're going to Rest-a-while on the canal till Sunday and heading home then...Gotta wash the red dirt and bugs and heaven only knows what else off the trailer..Then do the little repairs that have cropped up while driving on some of the worst highways we've seen..We really can't complain about the roads in Washington ,even that section down by Castle Rock that is so rough...
