New store policy at Sam’s and Wall-Mart.

I will need new tires for our 5th wheel soon planning a long trip in 2009.

Any way I thought I would by my tires at Wall- Mart, when they found out that I was going to put them on a trailer they would not sell me the tries. They would not mount them on my reams or put them on the trailer. I ask why and the lady told me it was a new store policy not to mount tires on RV trailers. Sam’s Club must have the same policy also they would not sell me tries either.

I just thought I would let Yell’s no because we all shop at Wal-Mart when we travel.

THat's interesting since they advertise RV/camper tires at Sam's. You should ask or seriously complain to management.

Costco is where we just purchased our 8 tires, for our TV and 5th wheel. There price was competitive with WALMART and SAMS.

I have always had great service from COSTCO on Michelin tires. They run them on sale several times a year and during that time they have been $60.00 less than Sams. They have free balancing and rotation every 10K miles, and do not try not try to sell you everything under the front end like some other tire shops do. I do put on new Monroe shocks with every set of tires, and that allows me to a look-see how things are underneath.

Just my $.02, I tried to increase the tire size on my D/max last November in FL. Costco would not do it. They said that the will only replace the tire that came with the vehicle listed on the door post or door.

We bought the Ribs from Sams and they mounted on new aluminum wheels and rolled them out to my trailer, where I swapped out the 15" which they demounted for me.

Our Costco said that they cannot do 5ers anymore because they don't have the facility to do them and their managment won't let them work on the 5ers in the parking lot any more, but they would sale, mount, and balance ribs for me if I brought in the rims.
