We are at home, wherever we are. LOL As someone said, every day is a holiday, which is true.

We aren't lucky enough to be full-timers (YET), but I can definitely see where you'd lose track of the days if you didn't have to consider your work schedule all the time! In fact, I went shopping in Seattle with my best friend a few weeks ago, and at some point I asked her what the date was. She looked at me with complete seriousness and said "I don't know what day it is -- I'm retired!" Can't wait to be just like her!

We always make sure we have a plan for the Holiday weekends far in advance. It's important to us not to be traveling around a holiday.

They do sneak up on us though.

We usually move Monday thru Thursday. Sort of keep an eye on holiday weekends and sit still. Of course we don't touristy areas for the most part, so we let the weekenders handle that. As a fulltimer, retired time means nothing. But one thing for sure, this RV doesn't do snow and neither do we. We are down the road, long before the the temperature even has a chance to chill.

It's also happening to us. We are in Connecticut and we where headed to Boston until I found out memorial weekend was this weekend! Finally got a place up at Bar Harbor, we will have to see Boston some other time, for awhile I thought I'd be watching the 500 on satellite at China-mart.

Nascarcruizen, I forgot something. We never know where we are going. Last year we stopped at a Forest Service campground at Swan Lake, MT. Stopped there because we were going past. There were a few reservable sites, others were first come, first serve. We sat there for 8 days, with the 4th sandwiched in the middle of the 8 days. Just wonderful sitting and watching the hustle and bustle. After chasing Nascar from 1979 thru 1993, we just sit there and grin now. It's a great life and someone has to do it. Turn the wick down and enjoy!
