When I rode motorcycles I liked to go to motorcycle shops and look at the bikes.

When I flew airplanes I liked to go to the airport and look at planes.

same with boats, Now that I have a travel trailer I like to go to dealers and look at trailers. why? I don't know I just do.

But I think I am going way to often the salesman now know me by my first name and not at just one lot it's 4 or 5.

Am I alone in doing this?

I would guess not, or they wouldn't have RV shows.

My DH is guilt but he'd never admit it!! Before we bought our minivan in 2000, we went to every dealer within 40 miles. When I knew more than the salesman about the van he was trying to sell us - I knew I was in trouble. I didn't go back until DH got serious about buying! He did the same thing with our camper & now he's in the market for a new TV that doubles as his work vehicle!

Pete,

This might be a real good time to start wearing a disguise.

I had a somewhat similar situation about two years ago. We were traveling back and forth from the Kansas City area to Wichita an back very often. The wife's mother was in failing health at that time. This very repetitive trip went on for an awful long time and I knew that we needed to consider changing our route when the Turnpike toll booth attendants started calling me by first name.

I do the same thing, but mostly on the internet.
I'm all over ebay and rvtraderonline.com looking at everything from pop-ups to prevosts.
That's how we got our current trailer. We were not in the market to replace the HTT but we came across a deal we could not pass up. My DW says to not let it happen again!

People that collect art (paintings, sculptures, etc) go to art exhibits, and museums. They may own a few pieces or replicas and they enjoy looking at other works. RV owners are no different. Every RV I see is a beautiful sight and I can't get enough. RV shows and dealerships are a great place to spend a few hours taking in the sights.

We love to look! Even if it's one of those tiny little Casitas or Scamps (we're full-timers), we check 'em out.

It's fun!

Wow Larry, when toll booth attendants start knowing your name, that's just a bit scary...

Nope I worked 41 years as an electrician in a foundry, four years in the Navy, growing up I worked on farms in summer and filling stations during the winter.
While I am now disabled and had to quit work please mr. Wayne don't make me go back to doing anything productive.
While I know 66 isn't old when compared to my Grandmother who lived to 103 but it is compared to my Father who only lived to 62.

Sir, perhaps you might take your own advise and contribute some helpful and friendly information for a change. It appears your previous deleted caustic posts haven't sent a clear enough message.
