No way will I put bio-diesel in our RV. It will cloud in low temps and plug your filters. I won't even use it in warm temps.

If we could just get the Media to report on the #1 export From the US (OIL). AND the abundance of oil in the US.

I think we'd see the speculators RUN for the SELL button, and prices would plummet. At least temporarily.

Instead we don't hear a word about oil EXPORTS, and only the rumors of oil shortages because of whaTever they can concoct at the moment.

I TOO, and thinking that a MOPED may be in my future! Maybe even an electric bike

Going through my fathers papers last week, and came upon gas station receipts. Reg gas was 22 cents a gallon in 1945, and a quart of oil was 75 cents. But in the last two weeks, DIESEL has gone from $ 3.47 to $ 3,79 a gallon. But Il pay $3.44 for reg gas out in the boonies, but in our area it is like $ 3,76 a gallon.

And a new house was $4,600. If you look at how gas has gone up over the years, and apply that to the housing prices of 1945, then housing today should AVERAGE $72,000 or so. I think housing today is more than $72,000. So gas has gone up LESS than housing (or just about anything else).

Yeah, when you add up all the 'increases', has your income gone up accordingly? Mine did not, unfortunately. So I retired anyway. Had enough.

Walked into the store yesterday, the gas on the marquee out front was $3.23. Came out an hour later and the marquee said $3.34. Does anyone know what world event or threat occurred in the hour of 10am to 11am yesterday.. It was $3.14 on Tuesday afternoon, when I filled the truck.

A small fire in a refinery in Indiana and a pipeline leak in Wisconsin that brings crude down from Canada.

Prices even increase when your area is NOT affected by pipeline leaks or refinery fires. Just trying to keep profits up with whatever is happening.

Refinery fires affect everybody. The drought in the midwest has increased grain prices world wide. It is a commodity and a world wide market. I was referring to the refinery fire in North CA which is one of the biggest in the West.
